Massages:

Sports – Got an injury or just feeling stiff after a tournament? As a seasoned athlete with knowledge of physiology and kinesiology, Chanley has the experience and the magic touch to help you get back on the field or hitting the trails in no time.

Swedish – With the lightest touch for sensitive souls, Swedish massages use a combination of strokes, kneading, vibration, rhythmic tapping and friction to help reduce pain and joint stiffness and improve circulation.

Prenatal – A two-in-one massage for baby and future mama.  Sink into a faraway lullaby as Chanley helps relieve tension and pressure from the physical and emotional stress of a long-awaited arrival.

Deep tissue – This type of massage digs into the nitty gritty of your deeper muscles that are working and wadding up below the surface. Work out the kinks and crystallizations from sustained injuries or prolonged activity and return to the daily grind feeling like a whole new person.

Customized – This list just grazes the surface of the versatility of Chanley’s expertise. Ten years in the trade means she has seen and worked on it all – swollen limbs, hairy backs and gnarly knots. If you don’t see a particular kind of massage, give Chanley a call to ask. If you want to improve your well-being, Chanley is your go-to woman.

Structural Integration

Structural Integration is more than a technique – it is a point of view. Ida Rolf invented the practice in the 1930s built on her knowledge of homeopathy, osteopathy and yoga, all of which look at the entire structure to improve overall well-being. You’ll know right away that this is no ordinary massage: rather than immediately hitting the lights and brushing the wind chimes, Chanley starts every Structural Integration session examining your alignment and posture and setting goals and an intention for her work session.

But she won’t be manipulating the joints and bones like a chiropractor would; Structural Integration acknowledges that the ligaments, tendons and muscles must be properly elongated to hold the bones in their rightful place. So instead of hearing the “crack” and “pop” as a chiropractor adjusts your back, you’ll hear an “oouff” escape your lips as Chanley works the deep muscles of your calf. This homeopathic methodology means that even if you come in with a shoulder injury, a Structural Integration therapist is working on the big picture to put your whole body back in alignment rather than just focusing on where the pain is.

Structural Integration is designed on a series of ten sessions to balance your body. With that said, the series has natural break points after the first, third and seventh session if you don’t intend to commit to the whole series. And the bottom line is that any Structural Integration is better than none: Chanley has clients that have been coming to her weekly for 10 years.

Structural Integration is not a cure-all for your health problems, but it is a proven method of improving physical pain and reorienting patients to their most powerful and natural states of being. People accustom themselves to chronic pain because they don’t know that an affordable solution is right here. Before you decide to have a surgeon cut into your tissue (and your pocketbook), set an appointment with Chanley for the opportunity to get a healing hand and a little bit of love worked into it.
